It’s one little thing I could live without,
Got a simple accusation staring me down.
One more minute, a little remedy time,
I’m not sure if it’s me,
Got my hands outstretched they’re slipping,
Just enough to believe.
That I got more than I thought I had,
But I’ve less than I thought I would,
Had enough standing round feet falling heavy on the ground,
Don’t feel like it should.
I can’t believe that you’ve got me, chasing stars again, falling through my sky…
Heads up, half my hearts on the floor,
Whispers going round,
Hearing voices, and I can’t get out,
Face down ‘cos my eyes are going blind,
I’ve got fear in my bones,
And I can’t feel no more.
Now gotta find something I can feel,
Can’t be sure I gotta try,
Fingers burning tired legs aching,
Mouth is breathless and dry.
But then I’m moving faster than it feels,
Couldn’t try harder if I could,
Had enough pushing on hell knows what I did wrong,
It hurts like it should.
Heads up, half my hearts on the floor,
Ears to the ground,
Hearing voices, and I can’t get out,
Face down ‘cos my eyes are going blind,
I’ve got fear in my bones,
Locked down I thought you should know…
Some part of me is missing,
It’s that thing, yeah,
I could live without.
